The Red Wing Shoe Company was founded in 1905, in the town of Red Wing, Minnesota.

 Intended originally for miners, farmers, and loggers, the craftsmanship and attention to detail and quality for a durable and sustainable shoe is still seen in the shoes being produced today. Although not all Red Wings are made in the United States, the majority still are.

Headquarters in Red Wing, Minnesota (about 35 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul)

Red Wing Shoes are traditionally hand-made.
